How to Draw Glasses (Easy Step by Step)
Round glasses are a fun first drawing because they are made almost entirely of circles. You will draw big circles, smaller circles tucked inside them, and a few curved lines to finish. Try to make both lenses match, then add a little shine to each one.

Step 1: Left outer rim
Draw a big circle on the left side of your page. This is the outside edge of the first frame.
Step 2: Left inner rim
Draw a smaller circle inside the first one, leaving a thin gap all the way around. This makes the frame look thick.
Step 3: Right outer rim
Leave a small space to the right, then draw another big circle about the same size as the first. Try to keep it level with the left one.
Step 4: Right inner rim
Draw a smaller circle inside the right frame, just like you did on the left. Keep the gap even all around.
Step 5: Bridge and first shine
Draw a little bump, like a tiny hill, that connects the two frames. It starts at the right side of the left frame and ends at the left side of the right frame. Then inside the right lens, near the top left, draw a short curved line that follows the edge of the circle.
Step 6: The side arms
On the far left, draw a curved line outside the frame that bends like a bracket, a bit like a bracket facing right. Do the same on the far right, bending the other way. These are the arms of the glasses.
Step 7: Second shine
Inside the left lens, near the top left, draw a short curved line that follows the edge of the circle. Now both lenses match.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing glasses
- Draw the smaller circle in each frame slowly, and try to keep the same small gap all the way around so the frame looks even.
- Make the right circle about the same size as the left. Lightly check that their tops and bottoms line up.
- Make the shine marks short and curved. Draw one near the top left of each lens so they look like light from the same window.

How to color your glasses drawing
Try bright frames like red, blue or purple, and leave the lenses pale blue or white. For a creative twist, draw tiny stars or a rainbow inside each lens.
Glasses fun fact for kids
The first wearable eyeglasses appeared in Italy in the late 1200s. They were two magnifying lenses joined together at the handles and held up to the nose, because there were no arms to go over the ears yet.
Questions about drawing glasses
What shapes do I need to draw glasses?
You need circles for the lenses, a small curved bump for the bridge between them, and a curved line on each side for the arms. Drawing a smaller circle inside each big circle makes the frame look thick.
How do I make both lenses the same size?
Draw the left circle first, then look at it while you draw the right one. Lightly line up the tops and bottoms so they sit level.
How do I make my glasses look shiny?
Add a short curved line near the top left of each lens, following the edge of the circle. Leave the rest of the lens white so the shine stands out.
