How to draw a stethoscope step by step
How to Draw a Stethoscope · tinyhandscreate.com
Step 1: Left side of heart
Start near the upper left of your paper with a small curl, then draw a long curved line that swoops down and to the right. End at a point near the bottom, in the middle.
Step 2: Right side of heart
Start a little to the right of the top and draw a short straight line going down. Curve it right into a big round bump, then slide down in a long curve to meet the bottom point.
Step 3: The chest piece
Draw a medium circle at the upper left of the heart, right where the curl of the left side begins. Let the circle touch that line.
Step 4: Circle in the middle
Inside the circle, draw a smaller circle in the center, with a little space around it. It makes a tiny round window in the middle.
Step 5: The curved tube
Start at the top of the short straight line and draw a wide, smiling curve that sweeps out to the left and right. Curl both ends up and in, like a big letter U.
Step 6: The ear tips
At the top of each end of the curved tube, draw a small circle. Leave the middle of each one empty so they look like little rings.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a stethoscope
- Draw the heart's two sides one at a time, and aim both at the same point at the bottom so they meet neatly.
- Draw the heart first, then add the chest piece circle where the left side begins so it touches the line.
- Sketch the wide U-shaped tube lightly first. It is the trickiest curve, and a light line is easy to fix if it comes out lopsided.

Try silver or gray for the tube and circles, and a bright red or pink heart. For a creative twist, fill the heart with tiny hearts, stars or your favorite pattern.
Stethoscope fun fact for kids
The first stethoscope was made in 1816 by a French doctor named René Laennec, and it was just a rolled-up tube of paper. He used it to listen to a patient's heart without pressing his ear to their chest.
