Step 1: Bottom of the head
Draw a curved bowl shape, like a smile, for the bottom of the head. On the left end, add a tiny bump that curves up for the cheek and nose. Leave the top open for now.
Step 2: Front and back of body
Draw a wavy line going down from the bottom of the head for the front of the body. Then, off to the right, draw a separate curved line that bumps out and goes down for the round back.
Step 3: The skateboard
Draw a long, flat board under the body with both ends curling up like little smiles. Add a short line below it to show the thickness of the board.
Step 4: Legs and wheels
On top of the board, draw a bump with a flat top and slanted sides for the legs. Then draw two circles under the board for wheels, with a tiny circle in the middle of each.
Step 5: Mane and forehead
Draw a curved line across the head for the edge of the hair. Above it, draw a big swoopy mane that arcs over the top of the head and ends in wavy points down the neck.
Step 6: The horn
On top of the head, draw a tall, skinny cone with a rounded bottom. Tuck it into the mane so it looks like it grows from the head.
Step 7: The tail
At the back of the body, draw a curvy ribbon shape that swishes up and then down. End it in a little point, like a flick.
Step 8: Eye and nostril
Draw a round dot for the eye in the middle of the face. Add a tiny dot for the nostril near the front of the nose.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a unicorn on a skateboard
- Draw lightly with a pencil at first. It is much easier to fix a sketch than a finished line.
- The mane is the trickiest part. Take it slowly and think of it as one big curve with two or three wavy points at the end.
- Draw the skateboard wheels the same size. Trace a coin or a bottle cap if your circles wobble.
