How to draw Doc McStuffins step by step

How to Draw Doc McStuffins · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.

  2. Step 2: Head outline

Draw a big rounded shape for the head, wide at the top and a little smaller at the chin. Add a small bump low on each side for the ears, with a tiny dash inside each one.

  3. Step 3: Hair buns

Draw a small round bun on each side of the top of the head, like two circles peeking out. Add a tiny curved flick under each bun where it meets the head.

  4. Step 4: Pigtails

Below each ear, draw a puffy pigtail that hangs down beside the cheek. Make the bottom of each one bumpy, like a little cloud.

  5. Step 5: Bangs

Start at the middle of the forehead and draw two curved lines sweeping down and out to each side. They make a gentle hair part.

  6. Step 6: Eyes and smile

Draw two round dots for eyes, side by side. Below them, draw a small happy open smile shaped like a D turned on its side.

  7. Step 7: The white coat

Under the chin, draw a big dome shape for the shoulders and body. Close it with a flat, slightly curved line at the bottom.

  8. Step 8: Collar and lapels

Draw a small V at the neck, then a straight line down the middle of the coat. Add one little pointed collar flap on each side of the V.

  9. Step 9: The stethoscope

Draw a short curved line around the base of the neck. From each end, draw a long curved line down over the coat. On the left, finish with a small circle for the part that listens to your heartbeat.

  10. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing Doc McStuffins

  • Sketch the head as a light oval first, with the ears low on each side near the cheeks, so the face stays even.
  • Draw the two hair buns at the same height. Look at one, then the other, before you finish each.
  • Draw the coat before the stethoscope. Then the tube can curve over the coat, and the little circle can rest on the left side.

The stethoscope was invented in 1816 by a French doctor named René Laennec. He rolled up a sheet of paper to listen to a patient's heart, and later made a wooden tube for the job.

Questions about drawing Doc McStuffins

You need a large rounded oval for the head, two small circles for the hair buns, a dome for the coat, and a small circle for the stethoscope. Everything else is a curved or straight line.

How do I make my Doc McStuffins drawing look cuter?

Keep the eyes wide apart and the smile small and open. Make the head larger than the body, and give the pigtails soft, puffy bumps.
