Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Muffin top
Draw a big, puffy cloud shape for the top of the muffin, with a small dip in the middle of the top and a bump on each side. Close it off along the bottom with a nearly flat, gently wavy line.
Step 3: The paper cup
Under the flat bottom of the muffin top, draw two slanted lines that get closer together as they go down. Join them at the bottom with a gently curved line.
Step 4: Middle cup folds
Draw two long lines down the middle of the cup, starting at the top edge of the cup and stopping at the bottom. Leave a wide space between them, because that is where the face will go.
Step 5: Outer cup folds
Add one shorter line on each side, between the middle line and the edge of the cup. Start just below the top edge of the cup and stop before the bottom.
Step 6: The happy face
In the wide space, draw two small round dots for eyes, side by side. Add a small curved smile below them.
Step 7: Top berries
Draw two small circles near the top of the muffin, one a bit higher than the other. Leave space around each one.
Step 8: More berries
Fill in the rest of the muffin top with three more small circles. Put one on the left, one in the middle, and one on the right, a little lower than the first two.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a muffin
- Make the muffin top wider than the cup. The overhang is what makes it look like a real muffin.
- Draw the cup lines so they lean toward each other at the bottom. If they stay straight, the cup looks like a box.
- Draw the berries last, and leave a little space between them so they do not touch the edge or each other.

How to color your muffin drawing
Try golden brown for the top, a pale yellow or pink for the cup, and deep blue for the berries. For a twist, color each cup stripe a different rainbow color.

Questions about drawing a muffin
What shapes do I need to draw a muffin?
You need a puffy cloud shape for the top, a paper cup that is wider at the top than the bottom, and a few small circles for the berries. Long thin lines make the folds in the cup.
How do I make my muffin look cuter?
Put the eyes wide apart and the smile low and small. Round, chubby shapes also look cuter than sharp, pointy ones.
How do I draw the paper cup so it looks real?
Start with two slanted lines that lean in toward the bottom, then add a curve to join them. Add a few long lines down the cup to show the folds.
