  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.

  2. Step 2: Head outline

Draw a big rounded shape for the head, with a domed top, round sides and a nearly flat bottom.

  3. Step 3: Cap band

Draw a straight line across the head, a little below the top, to mark the bottom edge of the cap. Then draw one short straight line from the middle of that line up to the top of the head.

  4. Step 4: The cap brim

Under the cap line, draw a wide, flat oval for the brim, like a squashed circle that sits across the front of the head.

  5. Step 5: Face and body bits

Draw two small dots for eyes, side by side, and a little curved smile below them. Under the head, add short collar lines, a small loop on each side for the hands, and two tiny dashes below for the legs.

  6. Step 6: Arms

Draw a curved line from each shoulder, going outward and down, until it reaches the small hand loop on that side.

  7. Step 7: Top of the box

Between the two hands, draw two long straight lines, one above the other, to make the top of the package.

  8. Step 8: Box bottom and shoes

Below the top of the box, draw the sides and bottom of the box to finish the rectangle. Under it, add two short leg lines, and at the bottom of each one draw a flat oval for a shoe.

  9. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a delivery driver

  • Draw the head shape first and make it big. The cap and face both fit inside it, so a roomy head helps.
  • The package is the trickiest part because it covers the body. Draw the box as a plain rectangle between the two hands.
  • Keep the two shoes the same size by drawing one oval, then copying its width for the other.

Delivery driver fun fact for kids

Cardboard boxes are usually made of corrugated cardboard, which has a wavy layer between two flat layers. The waves make the box much stronger than flat paper.
