How to draw a bus driver step by step

How to Draw a Bus Driver · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.

  2. Step 2: Head sides

Draw two curved lines that make a big U shape, like the sides and bottom of a round head. Leave the top open for now, because the cap will cover it.

  3. Step 3: The cap

Draw a rounded box shape on top of the head for the cap, like a loaf of bread. Add a curved brim line under it, with little pointed corners on each side where it meets the head.

  4. Step 4: Badge and cap band

Draw a small oval near the top of the cap for the badge. Then draw two short straight lines across the lower part of the cap, close together, to make a band.

  5. Step 5: The happy face

Draw two round dots for eyes, side by side in the middle of the head. Under them, draw a little curved smile like a U.

  6. Step 6: Body and arms

Draw a short flat shoulder line under the head, with the sides slanting down. Add a bent arm on each side, each ending in a small circle for a hand, and curve the bottom of the body like a bowl. Add a tiny upside-down U with a short line above it in the middle of the tummy.

  7. Step 7: Collar and belt

Draw two lines that start at the shoulders and slant down to meet in the middle of the chest, making a V. Then add a gently curved line across the tummy like a belt.

  8. Step 8: Steering wheel spokes

Near the bottom of the body, draw two slanting lines that meet in the middle and go out to each side. These are the spokes of the steering wheel.

  9. Step 9: Two round shoes

Draw two flat ovals at the bottom of the body, side by side, so they just touch in the middle. These are the shoes.

  10. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a bus driver

  • Draw the head sides as a wide U first and let the cap sit on top, so the brim line curves along the head instead of floating above it.
  • The two lines of the cap band should stay close together and run the same way. Draw one, then copy it for the second.
  • Draw the two steering wheel spokes with the same slant on each side. It is easier to keep them even if you start both from the middle.

Questions about drawing a bus driver

What shapes do I need to draw a bus driver?

You need a U shape for the head, a rounded box for the cap, small ovals for the badge and shoes, and small circles for the hands. Everything else is simple curved or straight lines.

How do I make my bus driver look friendlier?

Draw the smile a little wider and make the eyes small round dots set far apart. A slightly bigger head also makes the driver look cuter.

How do I draw the cap so it sits on the head?

Draw the rounded box for the cap on top of the head, then add the curved brim line under it so the pointed corners touch the sides of the head. The cap should overlap the top of the head, not float above it.
