Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: First bird body
Draw a big round oval for the first bird's body, with a tiny bump on top of the head for a feather tuft. Leave a small gap near the bottom right for the tail to join later.
Step 3: Second bird body
Draw a second round oval right beside the first so the two sides touch in the middle. Give this bird a tiny bump on top of its head too.
Step 4: Small wings
On each bird, draw a small leaf shape inside the body, near the lower outer side. Make each wing pointed at the top and rounded at the bottom.
Step 5: Tail feathers
Draw a pointy leaf shape sticking out sideways from the bottom outer side of each bird, joined to the body. Think of a sideways lemon.
Step 6: Eyes and beaks
Draw two small round dots for eyes on each face. Between and below them, draw a tiny rounded triangle for the beak.
Step 7: Little legs
Draw two short straight lines going down from the bottom of each bird. Keep them nice and skinny.
Step 8: The branch
Draw a long, gently wavy line under the birds so their legs end on it. Let it stretch a little past both sides.
Step 9: A heart above
Draw a heart floating above the two birds. Start with two bumps at the top and curve down to a point.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.
