How to draw a love letter step by step

How to Draw a Love Letter · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: The envelope

Draw a big rectangle with softly rounded corners. Make it wider than it is tall.

  2. Step 2: The letter

Start at the top edge of the envelope and draw a straight line up. Draw across the top with rounded corners, then come back down on the other side to meet the envelope again.

  3. Step 3: Lines of writing

Inside the letter, draw one long line with round ends. Under it, draw a shorter line that starts at the same spot on the left.

  4. Step 4: The envelope flap

Start at each top corner of the envelope and draw a slanted line down toward the middle. Stop before the two lines touch, so there is a gap between them.

  5. Step 5: The heart seal

In the gap between the two flap lines, draw a small heart. Make two round bumps on top and let the sides curve down to a point.

  6. Step 6: Floating hearts

Draw two small hearts floating above the letter, one on the left and one on the right. Make one a little bigger than the other.

  7. All done!

Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a love letter

  • Draw the envelope first and the letter second. The letter sits behind the envelope, so its side lines stop when they touch the top edge of the envelope.
  • Draw the two slanted flap lines from the top corners and stop them early. Leave a gap in the middle just big enough for the heart seal.
  • For a heart, draw two round bumps side by side, then bring the sides down to a point. Try a few small ones on scrap paper before you draw the seal.
