How to Draw a Skyscraper (Easy Step by Step)
A skyscraper is fun to draw because it is built from simple shapes you already know. Tall rectangles make the buildings, tiny rounded squares make the windows, and a pointy roof with an antenna finishes the tallest tower. Once the buildings stand up, you can add a cloud and a tree to make a whole city scene.

Step 1: The tall tower
Draw a tall rectangle with rounded corners in the middle of your page. This is the biggest building, so make it nice and tall.
Step 2: The right building
Next to the tall tower on the right, draw a shorter rectangle with rounded corners. Make its top a little lower than the tower's top.
Step 3: The left building
On the left side of the tall tower, draw another rectangle that is a little shorter than the tower. Let its right side sit right beside the tower.
Step 4: The pointy roof
On top of the tall tower, draw two short straight lines going up. Then draw a slanted line from the top of each one so they meet in a point, like a little house roof.
Step 5: The antenna
Start at the point of the roof and draw a short straight line going up.
Step 6: Tall tower windows
Draw rows of small rounded squares inside the tall tower, three in each row. Add a tiny square inside each one.
Step 7: Side building windows
Fill the left building with rounded square windows, two in each row, with a tiny square inside each. Then do the same in the right building, also two in each row.
Step 8: Cloud and tree
In the empty sky on the left, draw a fluffy cloud with bumpy humps on top and a flat bottom. Then draw a small circle at the bottom left corner of the left building, sitting on the little trunk line, for a tree.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a skyscraper
- Draw the tall tower first and make it taller than the other two buildings, so the other two fit beside it.
- For the windows, make one row first, then copy it straight down. Keeping the rows lined up makes the building look neat.
- Draw the pointy roof lines lightly at first, so you can fix them until both slanted sides meet in a point above the tower.

Questions about drawing a skyscraper
What shapes do I need to draw a skyscraper?
You need tall rectangles for the buildings, small rounded squares for the windows, and two slanted lines that meet in a point for the roof. A circle and a short line make the tree.
How do I make my skyscraper look taller?
Draw the building much taller than it is wide, and add many rows of windows. Putting shorter buildings next to it also makes it look taller.
How do I draw straight windows in rows?
Draw one row of windows and line up the next row right below it. Lightly sketching a grid with a pencil first can help you keep them even.
