Step 1: Walls and floor line
Draw two tall straight lines for the left and right walls of the house. Join them at the bottom with a long flat line that sits on the ground.
Step 2: The pointed roof
Draw a flat line across the top of the walls, a little wider than the house. Then draw two slanted lines from its ends that meet in a point in the middle, like a big triangle hat.
Step 3: Roof glass frames
Draw a straight line down from the roof peak to the flat line. Add a sideways line across the roof, then one short upright line on each side to make little glass panes.
Step 4: Wall panes and plant
Draw a straight line across the wall, a little way below the roof. Add two short upright lines on the left and two on the right, reaching from the roof line down to it. Then draw a small flowerpot with a few pointy leaves in the bottom right corner inside the wall.
Step 5: The front door
In the middle of the bottom wall, draw a tall rectangle that starts at the floor line and stands up toward the middle of the wall.
Step 6: Bushes on both sides
Next to each wall, draw a puffy cloud shape with bumpy tops and a flat bottom. Make the two bushes about the same size.
Step 7: Second potted plant
In the bottom left corner inside the wall, draw a small pot that is wider at the top. Add a few pointy leaves growing out of it, like the plant on the right.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a greenhouse
- Use a ruler or the edge of a book for the roof lines at first. Once you feel steady, try drawing them freehand.
- Draw the sideways line on the wall first, then add the short upright lines so they reach from the roof down to it and you can space them evenly.
- The leaves in the pots are the trickiest part. Start with the center leaf, then add one leaf on each side.

How to color your greenhouse drawing
Try light blue or pale green for the glass panes, brown for the pots and door, and bright greens for the leaves and bushes. For a creative twist, add colorful flowers or tomatoes in the pots.
Greenhouse fun fact for kids
Greenhouses work by letting sunlight in through the glass and trapping the warmth inside, so plants can grow even when it is cold outdoors.
Questions about drawing a greenhouse
What shapes do I need to draw a greenhouse?
You need a triangle for the roof, a rectangle for the walls and door, and two cloud shapes for the bushes. Small pot shapes and pointy leaves finish it off.
How do I make the glass look real?
Draw the thin lines that divide the roof and the top of the wall into small panes. When you color, use a very light blue so the glass looks see-through.
How can I add more plants to my greenhouse?
Draw extra pots near the door or on the floor beside the walls. Each plant is just a small pot with a few leaf shapes on top.
