How to Draw a Pharaoh (Easy Step by Step)
A pharaoh is fun to draw because the striped headdress makes it look royal with only a few simple lines. It is built from an oval, a dome, curved bands and two flat ovals, so even beginners can finish it. Take your time with the headdress, and your pharaoh will look ready for ancient Egypt.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The headdress
Draw a big dome over the top of the oval, then let two long sides hang down past the cheeks and flare out at the bottom, like curtains.
Step 3: Headband stripes
Draw a long curved line straight across the dome for the headband. Above it, add a second curved line that has a small gap in the middle.
Step 4: Center bump
Draw a tiny lump in the middle of the headband, right where the gap in the stripe is.
Step 5: The collar
Under the face, draw a wavy curve that stretches from one hanging side to the other. Add a short slanted line at the right end.
Step 6: Face and details
Draw two dot eyes and a little smile inside the face. Then draw the curved edge of the headdress around the face, a small pointed loop on top, and the first lines of the chest and belt.
Step 7: Arms and kilt
Draw a long curved line down each side of the chest for the arms. Join them across the bottom with a gentle curve to make a skirt shape.
Step 8: The feet
At the bottom, draw two flat ovals side by side so they just touch in the middle.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a pharaoh
- Start with a light oval for the face, then draw the headdress around it so the two hanging sides match.
- The hanging sides are the trickiest part, so draw one side first, then copy its length and angle on the other side.
- Draw the feet last as two flat ovals that touch in the middle. This keeps your pharaoh standing steady.
