Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The drum-shaped body
Draw a wide, flat shape like a short drum. Start with a curved top, go straight down on the left and right sides, and join the sides with a curve along the bottom.
Step 3: The curved edge
Inside the body, draw one long curved line that starts at the left side, dips down in the middle, and swoops up to meet the right side. This shows where the top of the vacuum meets its side.
Step 4: The top panel
Draw a smaller oval inside the top of the body, leaving a gap all the way around. Its bottom edge should stay just above the curved line from the last step.
Step 5: The round button
At the top middle of the inner oval, draw a tiny round button shaped a bit like a drop, sitting right against the oval's top edge.
Step 6: Two little eyes
Draw two small dots in the middle of the inner oval, side by side with a space between them. Keep them the same size and at the same height.
Step 7: A small smile
Under the eyes, draw a short curved line like a smile. Start it below the space between the eyes and keep it narrower than the eyes are apart.
Step 8: Two puffs of dust
To the left of the vacuum, draw two small clouds, one above the other. Make each with a flat bottom and a round bump on top, and a little curve on the side.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a robot vacuum
- Draw the body wide and flat. If it is too tall, the vacuum will look like a can instead of a flat disc.
- Make the curved line across the body bend the same way as the bottom curve, so the two lines look like they belong together.
- Keep the inner oval about the same distance from the outer edge all the way around. Check the gap before adding the button.
- Keep the smile small and centered below the eyes so the face looks happy.

Questions about drawing a robot vacuum
What shapes do I need to draw a robot vacuum?
You mostly need ovals and curves. A flat drum shape makes the body, a smaller oval makes the top panel, and a tiny round shape makes the button.
How do I make my robot vacuum look cuter?
Give it a face. Two small dots for eyes and a short curved smile on the top panel make it look friendly right away. The little dust clouds beside it make it look busy.
How do I draw the side of the vacuum so it looks 3D?
Draw straight lines down from the left and right sides of the top, then join them with a curve along the bottom. Add one long curved line across the body to show where the top meets the side.
