Marbles are a great first drawing because they are mostly circles. This guide starts with a smiling bag shaped like an egg, then adds a little bow and a handful of round marbles that rolled out. If you can draw a circle and a curve, you can draw this.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The marble bag
Draw a big rounded shape like an egg, wide at the bottom and narrower at the top. Leave a small gap at the top where the neck will go.
Step 3: The bag top
On top of the bag, draw a small cup shape with a wavy top edge that flares out a little. Connect its two sides to the ends of the gap at the top of the bag.
Step 4: The tie and bow
Draw a short curvy line across the neck where the bag is tied. Add two small curls hanging down from the middle, like the loops of a bow.
Step 5: A happy face
Draw two small round dots for eyes in the middle of the bag. Add a small smile curve between them and a little lower.
Step 6: The big marble
To the lower right of the bag, draw a big circle for the largest marble. Take your time and try to close the circle.
Step 7: Medium marbles
Draw two medium circles above the big marble, one toward its upper left and one toward its upper right, with a gap between them. They can be a little bumpy, that is fine.
Step 8: Small marbles
Draw four small circles in a group above the medium ones. Let them sit close together, like they just rolled out of the bag.
Step 9: Marble swirls
Inside every marble, draw a little curved line like an upside-down U. This makes each marble look shiny and special.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing marbles
- Circles are the trickiest part. Draw them slowly, and if one does not close, just add a little curve to join the ends.
- Make the marbles different sizes. One big marble with medium and small ones around it makes them look like a real pile.
- Draw each swirl near the top of its marble, with the same upside-down U shape. It will look like a shiny highlight.

How to color your marbles drawing
Color each marble a different bright color and leave a small spot near the swirl white to look like a shine. For a twist, make the bag polka dotted or give it a rainbow of stripes.
Marbles fun fact for kids
Marbles used to be made of clay or stone, and later of glass. The swirly colors inside glass marbles are made by twisting melted glass of different colors together.
