Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: The big round head
Draw a big circle near the top of your page. Leave a tiny gap at the bottom where the neck will go.
Step 3: Neck and shirt
Under the head, draw a short flat line for the neck. From its right end, draw a line down for the side of the shirt, then draw a flat line along the bottom for the hem.
Step 4: The arms
Draw a curved line down each side of the shirt for the arms. On the right arm, finish with a tiny circle at the bottom for the hand.
Step 5: Face, spots, legs and teddy
Add two dots for eyes and a curved smile between them. Dot some spots on the shirt, draw a line down the left side of the shirt, and add two short straight lines under the shirt for legs. Then, at the bottom left of your page, draw a round shape for the teddy bear's body.
Step 6: Two flat shoes
At the bottom of the legs, draw two wide, flat ovals side by side for the shoes. Let them touch in the middle.
Step 7: The teddy's head
On top of the teddy's body, draw a small round head. Add a little ear at the top, then a tiny nose and a dot for an eye on its face.
Step 8: Teddy's arm and foot
On the left side of the teddy, draw a curved line for its arm. Finish with a short curve at the bottom of the body for a foot.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a kid with a teddy bear
- Draw the head circle first and give it plenty of space. A big head is what makes this kid look cute.
- Draw the teddy's round body at the bottom left, then add its head, ear and face on top. Go slowly, because the teddy has the smallest shapes.
- Keep the two leg lines straight and about the same length so the kid stands steady.
