Step 1: Sides of the head
Draw two curved lines that look like a pair of parentheses with the bottoms leaning in. They are the lower left and right sides of the bear's head, with a gap between them at the top and bottom.
Step 2: Sides of the tummy
Below the head, draw two small curved lines, one on the left and one on the right. They curve down and then out, like the bottom corners of a round tummy.
Step 3: Hat and pom-pom
Draw a big dome over the top of the head, from the left side line up and over to the right side line. Then add a small circle on top of the dome for the pom-pom.
Step 4: The hat band
Draw two gently curved lines straight across the hat, close together, to make a thick band. Let them reach the edges of the hat on both sides.
Step 5: Round ears
Add a small half circle on each side of the head, right where the hat band ends. Try to make them the same size.
Step 6: Eyes and muzzle
Draw two round dots for eyes below the hat band. Between them, draw a small oval muzzle with a rounded nose and a tiny curvy smile. Add one short straight line below the muzzle.
Step 7: The scarf
Draw a long, bumpy band across the neck below the face. Let the right end stick out past the head like it is flapping, and add a short upright line near the middle.
Step 8: Stripes, arms and feet
Add a few short upright lines across the scarf to make stripes. Then draw two curved lines on the tummy for arms, and two flat ovals at the bottom for feet.
Step 9: Snowflakes
Fill the empty space around the bear with snowflakes. For each one, make a small plus sign and then cross it with a third line to make six little arms.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a bear in a scarf
- Start with the two side curves of the head, then draw the dome of the hat across the top so it joins them.
- The scarf is the trickiest part. Draw the long bumpy band first, then add the stripe lines last so they stay short and even.
- Make the two ears and the two eyes the same size. Look at one, then copy it on the other side.
