How to draw a Christmas fox step by step

How to Draw a Christmas Fox · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.

  2. Step 2: The big head

Draw a wide, round oval for the head, a little wider than it is tall. Leave room above it for the ears and hat.

  3. Step 3: Body side curves

Under the head, draw two short curved lines, one on the left and one on the right, like the sides of a little body. They do not join yet, so leave a gap between them.

  4. Step 4: Pointy ears

On each top corner of the head, draw a tall pointy ear that sticks up. Then draw a smaller pointy shape inside each one.

  5. Step 5: The Christmas hat

On top of the head, draw a small rounded rectangle for the hat band. Add a little curved cone above it, and finish with a tiny circle for the pompom.

  6. Step 6: Face, scarf end, tail tip

Draw two dots for eyes and a small nose with a tiny mouth below it. Add little zigzag fur and a curved line on each cheek, then draw the striped end of the scarf hanging down the front, a small curve for an arm beside it, and a little squiggle off to the right for the tail tip.

  7. Step 7: The scarf band

Draw a curved band under the chin that goes across the neck and joins the striped end of the scarf.

  8. Step 8: Feet and left arm

At the bottom, draw two flat ovals side by side for the feet. Add a small curl on the left side of the body for the other arm.

  9. Step 9: The fluffy tail

Start at the squiggle on the right and draw a long curve going down and around toward the feet. Then draw a second curve from the squiggle back down to the body to finish the tail.

  10. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a Christmas fox

  • Draw the head oval first and make it wide. The ears and hat sit on top of it, so a good head makes everything else easier.
  • The cheek fur is the trickiest part. Draw it as little zigzags and take it slowly.
  • For the tail, draw the long outer curve first, then draw the inner curve back toward the body. Keep both lines about the same distance apart.
