Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Head with cheek tufts
Draw a wide oval for the head. Along the left and right sides, make a few small zigzag points for fluffy cheeks.
Step 3: The pointy ears
On top of the head, draw two pointed ears, one on each side. Add a curved line inside each ear.
Step 4: Face and shoulders
Draw two small dots for eyes and a little nose with a curvy smile below them. Under the head, add short curved lines for the neck and shoulders, and a small smile shape for the tummy.
Step 5: Bottom of the body
Draw a short curved line below the tummy smile to start the bottom of the round body.
Step 6: Arms and feet
Draw a long oval on each side of the body for the arms. Then draw two flat ovals at the bottom for the feet.
Step 7: The curly tail
On the left side, start near the arm and draw a big curl that swoops down and around to the foot. This is the fluffy tail.
Step 8: The raised arm
Starting at the right arm, draw one long curved line that sweeps up and out to the right.
Step 9: The maple leaf
At the top of the long line, draw a leaf with pointy tips like a star. Add a short line down the middle and a small stem at the bottom.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a fall fox
- Draw the head oval wide, then add the zigzag cheeks on both sides so they look about even.
- Sketch the maple leaf as a star first. The tiny leaf points are the trickiest part, so go slowly.
- Make the two arm ovals about the same size, and keep the two feet about the same size too.
