Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: Wing and chin curve
Draw a pointed leaf shape up on the left for the first wing. Then draw a wide curve that starts at the wing and sweeps down and across to the right, like the bottom of a big round head.
Step 3: Dress and little hand
Under the curve, draw a bell shape that flares out like a puffy dress, with a wavy line along the bottom. Add a small hand on the left side of the dress.
Step 4: More fairy wings
Draw a curved line up on the right to finish the big wing on that side. Then draw two smaller leaf shapes, one on each side of the dress, pointing down and out.
Step 5: Little shoes
Under the dress, draw two short lines for legs. Finish each one with a small flat oval for a shoe.
Step 6: Happy face
Put two small dots for eyes in the middle of the head, with a wide gap between them. Draw a little curved smile below and between them.
Step 7: Crown and star wand
Draw a row of small circles along the top of the head, like a crown of flowers. Then draw a long thin wand on the right, near the hand, with a little star at the top.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a kid in a fairy costume
- The wings are the trickiest part. Make each one a pointed leaf shape, and keep the upper pair bigger than the lower pair.
- Keep the dress wavy at the bottom and let the two small wings stick out low on each side.
- Draw the crown circles one at a time along the top of the head, and try to keep them about the same size.
- Keep the star wand thin so it does not cover the wing behind it.
