Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: The big round head
Draw a big wide oval for the head, a little flatter on top and rounder at the bottom, like a gumball. Leave a small gap at the bottom middle where the neck will go.
Step 3: The headband
Draw two gently curved lines across the head, one above the other, with a stripe of space between them. The lines should start and end at the sides of the head.
Step 4: Eyes and smile
Add two small round dots for eyes, side by side below the headband. Between them and lower down, draw a happy curved smile.
Step 5: Top of the body
Under the chin, draw a short flat line across the gap at the bottom of the head. Add a short line going down at each end, like the top of a box.
Step 6: Gloves and belly
Draw a big circle on each side of the body for the gloves. Then close the body with a long curve across the bottom, joining the two gloves.
Step 7: The waistband
Under the belly, draw one long, gently curved line from one side of the body to the other.
Step 8: Thumbs and shorts
Draw a small curved line inside each glove for the thumb. Then draw two straight lines down from the waistband for the sides of the shorts, and join them at the bottom with a little upside-down V in the middle to make two legs. Add a tiny dash under each leg.
Step 9: Boots
At the bottom of each leg, draw a boot shaped like a short box that is wider at the bottom. Add a small rounded stripe in the middle of each boot.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a boxer
- The gloves are the trickiest part. Draw each one as a big circle, and try to make both circles about the same size.
- Keep the two headband lines curved the same way so the stripe stays an even width. This makes the head look round instead of flat.
- Keep the legs short and the boots wide. A small, sturdy base makes the boxer look strong and cute.
