  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.

  2. Step 2: The tabletop

Draw a long, flat shape with rounded ends, like a squished pill, but leave a small gap in the top line in the middle. Then draw a second line just below it, with rounded corners, to make the thick edge under the tabletop.

  3. Step 3: Two table legs

Under the tabletop, draw one leg near each end. Each leg is a tall, skinny shape with a rounded bottom, a little wider at the top, with a big gap between the two legs.

  4. Step 4: The round vase

Draw a big circle that sits on the tabletop, right where the gap in the top line is. Add a short, wide neck on top with a flat lip.

  5. Step 5: The flower stem

Draw a short, straight line going up from the middle of the vase opening. This is the stem that holds the flower.

  6. Step 6: The flower petals

At the top of the stem, draw one wavy outline with five round bumps, like a puffy cloud. Each bump is a petal.

  7. Step 7: The flower center

In the middle of the petals, draw a small circle. Then draw a tiny circle inside it to make a ring.

  8. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a table

  • Start the tabletop with a light, long rounded shape so both ends match, then add the edge line underneath.
  • Leave a gap in the top line of the tabletop where the vase will go, so the vase looks like it is sitting on the table.
  • For the flower, draw five bumps in a loop like a cloud. If one petal is too big, make the next one a little smaller.
