How to Draw a Golf Club and Ball (Easy Step by Step)
A golf club, a ball on a tee and a flag in the hole make a fun little scene to draw. It is built from simple shapes: long lines, a circle, a triangle and a few curvy blobs. Once you can draw those, you can draw the whole golf course.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The club handle
Near the top left, draw a tall, skinny rounded rectangle that tilts a little, with its bottom end farther right than its top. Add a few short lines across it for the grip stripes.
Step 3: The long shaft
Start at the bottom of the handle and draw one long, straight line going down and a little to the right.
Step 4: The club head
At the bottom of the shaft, draw a curvy shape like a tipped-over egg. Start at the shaft, curve one line out to the left and down, then draw a second line out to the right that curves around and comes back down toward the left.
Step 5: The golf ball
To the right of the club, draw a big circle. Take your time so the line is nice and round.
Step 6: The tee and dimples
Under the ball, draw a little smile-shaped cup, then a short straight line going down from its middle. Add a few small dots inside the ball for dimples.
Step 7: The flag
On the right, draw a tall straight pole. At the top, draw a small triangle that points to the right and connect it to the pole.
Step 8: Ground and hole
Draw a hill shape like a half circle around the bottom of the pole, with a flat oval on top for the hole. Then draw one long straight line along the bottom for the ground, running under the club head, the tee and the hill.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a golf club and ball
- Draw the shaft in one smooth stroke. Look at where it ends first, then draw from the handle down to that spot.
- The club head is the trickiest part. Think of a tipped-over egg, and draw the left curve before the curve on the right.
- Take your time with the ball. If the circle comes out wobbly, go slowly and keep your hand relaxed.

How to color your golf club and ball drawing
Try a red and white handle, a white ball with light gray dimples, and a bright red flag on a green hill. For a creative twist, color the ground a sandy tan.
Golf club and ball fun fact for kids
A golf ball has hundreds of tiny dimples, usually between 300 and 500. The dimples help the ball fly farther through the air than a smooth ball would.
