Step 1: Body and underarms
Draw a wide U shape with rounded bottom corners for the lower part of the sweater. At the top of each side line, curve a short line outward, like the start of an arm.
Step 2: Shoulders and sleeve ends
On each side, draw a long curved line from near the middle top, out over the shoulder and down to the sleeve end. Stop where it meets the body's short outward line, and leave a gap in the middle for the neck.
Step 3: Sleeve seams
On each side, draw a slightly curved line from the shoulder line down to the bottom of the sleeve. These show where the sleeve joins the body.
Step 4: The round collar
At the top middle, draw a wide oval for the neck hole. Then draw a curved line under it, like a smile, for the thick collar.
Step 5: The bottom band
Near the bottom of the sweater, draw one straight line across from side to side. This makes the stretchy band at the bottom.
Step 6: Zigzag pattern
In the middle of the sweater, draw a straight line across the top and one across the bottom. Then draw a zigzag between them to make a row of triangles, like little mountains.
Step 7: Bottom of the face
Below the zigzag pattern, draw a round U shape, like the bottom half of an egg. This will be the reindeer's face.
Step 8: Antlers and eyes
Close the top of the face with a short line, and add a small curl at each end for little antlers. Then add two round dots for eyes.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a Christmas sweater
- Draw the body first and keep both side lines the same height, so the sleeves have an even place to start.
- The zigzag is the trickiest part. Draw the top and bottom lines first, then make pointy mountains between them, with all the points touching the lines.
- Make the two sleeves match by checking that they end at about the same spot on each side.
