Step 1: Sides of the head
Draw two curved lines that bulge outward, one on the left and one on the right, like a pair of round brackets. Leave a wide gap between them at the top and the bottom.

Between the tops of the two side lines, draw a long, flat rectangle with rounded corners. It sits across the top of the head like a lid.

Draw two small filled-in dots in the middle of the face, side by side. Keep them the same size.
Step 7: The carrot nose
Between the eyes and a little lower, draw a small triangle that points down, with rounded corners. It is a carrot nose.
Step 8: Smile of dots
Under the nose, make a row of small dots that curve up at the ends like a smile. Try to keep them about the same size.
