Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Head and right ear
Draw a wide, rounded head with a wobbly left side, a gently curved bottom, and a round right side. At the top right, curl the line into a small circle for the right ear.
Step 3: Left ear and dash
Draw a round ear on the top left, curling the line around like the letter C and tucking it against the head. Add a tiny slanted dash inside the right ear.
Step 4: The dark head patch
On top of the head, between the ears, draw a flat oval like a little hat. Color it in solid black.
Step 5: Body side and bottom
Under the head, draw a long curve down the right side for the back and tummy. Then draw a short curved line near the bottom for the base of the body.
Step 6: The hugging arm
Start under the left side of the head and draw a bendy sausage shape reaching across the body. Round off the left end so it looks like a hand.
Step 7: The folded leg
Below the arm, draw a big round bump for the leg and foot. Add a short curved line on top so it looks tucked in.
Step 8: The fluffy tail
On the bottom right, draw a rounded blob that sticks out from the body like a leaf. Fill it in with black.
Step 9: The tall pole
On the left, draw a long, skinny rectangle leaning on a slant. Make two long parallel lines and close the top and bottom, so the indri looks like it is holding on.
Step 10: Eyes, nose and fingers
Draw two big round eyes with a tiny white dot in each for a sparkle. Add a small wobbly nose between and below them, then a few short lines where the hand grips the pole.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.
