Step 1: Top bean and first curves
Near the top of the page, draw a big, wide oval like a squished egg lying on its side. Then, starting just under it, draw a short line going down and a long curve bending off to the right. These begin the beans in front.
Step 2: Left bean and side line
On the left, draw a big curve shaped like the letter C, starting at the top bean and bending around to the bottom left. Then add a short wavy line on the right side of the top bean, going out to the right.
Step 3: Two front beans
Draw two ovals at the bottom, one in the middle and one on the right. Start each oval where it touches its neighbor and curve around to close it.
Step 4: Beans peeking from behind
Draw a small curve at the upper left that connects the left bean to the top bean. Then draw a big curve on the right that wraps around the side and ends near the front bean. These look like beans hiding behind the others.
Step 5: The little leaf
Draw a pointy leaf next to the top bean, like a lemon shape with one tip. Start at the top bean, curve out and up, then come back down to the bean.
Step 6: Top bean's crease
Inside the top bean, draw a wiggly line from the left to the right. Make it wavy like a gentle snake.
Step 7: Creases on other beans
Give the left bean and the two front beans each a wiggly line down the middle, following the long side of the bean. Add a tiny straight dash in the small gap between the left bean and the front beans.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing some coffee beans
- Draw the big top bean first and leave plenty of room, so the other beans have space to tuck in around it.
- Where two beans touch, stop one line when it meets the other bean. That makes the beans look like they are overlapping.
- The wiggly crease is the trickiest part. Practice it once on scrap paper, then draw it slowly with a smooth S-shaped curve.
