A pair of curtains looks fancy, but it is made from long curved lines, wavy tops and bottoms, and two little belts. Each curtain is pinched in the middle, so it looks a bit like a bow tie. Once you can draw one side, the other side is easy to match.

Step 1: Rod and rings
Draw two short bars, one right above the other, in the middle near the top. Then draw a small open circle near the top at the far left and the far right of the page for the rings.
Step 2: Wavy tops
Starting at each ring, draw a bumpy, wavy line that curves along toward the middle, like gentle little hills. End each wave near the rod bars in the middle.
Step 3: Curtain sides
On the left, draw two long curved lines going down from the wavy top: an outer one and an inner one that sweeps toward the outside. On the right, draw both sides of the curtain all the way down, pinched in the middle, flaring out like a bell, and finish with a wavy bottom.
Step 4: The tiebacks
Draw a short, flat rectangle across each curtain, like a belt. On the right curtain, put it at the pinched middle. On the left, draw it low down across the curtain.
Step 5: Left bottom flare
Below the left band, draw two curved lines that flare outward like a bell. Join them with a wavy line at the bottom, then draw a straight line across from this curtain's bottom corner to the right curtain's bottom.
Step 6: Folds above the bands
In each curtain, draw two long curved lines starting just above the band and going up into the cloth. Make them lean a little toward each other at the band, like soft cloth gathered together.
Step 7: Folds below the bands
Just under each band, draw two short curved lines going down into the flared part. Stop them partway down so the cloth looks gathered and then spreads out.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a pair of curtains
- Draw the wavy tops slowly, making each bump about the same size, like a row of gentle hills.
- The tiebacks are the trickiest part. Make each one a short, flat rectangle that sits across the pinched middle of the curtain.
- Draw the right curtain the same way as the left one, and check that both bands sit at about the same height.
