Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Top of the body
Start near the middle left and draw a curve that bends up into a rounded corner. Then draw a straight line across the top, round the right corner, and go straight down the right side.
Step 3: The lid and knob
On top of the body, draw a wide, flat dome like a hat, with its ends touching the top line. Add a small rounded bump on top of the dome for the knob.
Step 4: The base tray
At the bottom, draw a long, flat rounded rectangle like a pill for the tray the machine sits on.
Step 5: The inner frame
Draw a straight line down from under the left side of the body to the tray. Then draw a line across from the top of that line, turn the corner, and go straight down to the tray.
Step 6: The cup
Draw a gently curved line across the middle for the rim of the cup. Then draw two curved lines down from its ends that bend inward and finish near the tray, like a bowl.
Step 7: Spout and coffee
Draw a small spout above the cup with two short lines joined by a curve, and finish the rim as a flat oval. Inside the cup, draw a wavy line for the top of the coffee and fill in the shape below it.
Step 8: The two eyes
On the big body, draw two round dots side by side, the same size. They give your coffee maker a happy face.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a coffee maker
- Draw the big body first and leave room above it for the lid, and room below it for the tray and cup.
- The cup is the trickiest part. Start with a gently curved line for the rim, then curve two sides down so they meet near the tray.
- Make the two eyes the same size and the same height so the machine looks friendly and balanced.
