  1. Step 1: The bow loops

Draw two big loops side by side, like the wings of a butterfly. Leave a small gap in the middle between them.

  2. Step 2: Knot, stem and berries

Draw a small circle in the gap for the knot, then a short straight line down from it. At the bottom of the line, draw one small circle with a circle on each side of it, and add two short curved lines hanging below.

  3. Step 3: The ribbon tails

Under the knot, draw two skinny ribbon tails, one swooping out to the left and one to the right. Each one is a narrow loop that ends in a little point.

  4. Step 4: Center stem and leaf

Start under the berries and draw a long straight line down. At the bottom, draw a rounded teardrop leaf on the right side of the line.

  5. Step 5: Second bottom leaf

At the bottom of the center line, draw a matching teardrop leaf on the left side. Now the two leaves together look like a heart.

  6. Step 6: Side branches

From under the berries, draw a long curved line down and out to the left, and another down and out to the right. At the end of the right branch, draw a loop leaf pointing out to the right.

  7. Step 7: Left leaves

At the end of the left branch, draw a loop leaf pointing out to the left. Then draw a teardrop leaf hanging down just below it.

  8. Step 8: Right hanging leaf

At the end of the right branch, draw a teardrop leaf hanging down, just below the leaf pointing out to the right.

  9. All done!

Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing mistletoe

  • Draw the berries as one little circle on top with a circle on each side. Let the circles touch so they look like a bunch.
  • Make the leaves about the same size on each side. Look at the left leaves, then copy their shape on the right.
  • Draw the bow loops big and light first. Keep the ends of the loops round so they look like butterfly wings.
