How to draw a wall clock step by step

How to Draw a Wall Clock · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.

  2. Step 2: The outer rim

Draw a big circle in the middle of your paper. This is the edge of the clock, so make it nice and round.

  3. Step 3: The inner ring

Draw a second circle inside the first one, leaving a small gap all the way around. Try to keep the gap the same size everywhere.

  4. Step 4: Center and hands

Draw a tiny circle in the middle of the clock. Then draw two thick lines from it, a long one pointing up to the right and a shorter one pointing up to the left.

  5. Step 5: Numbers at the top

Near the top of the clock, write the numbers 12, 1 and 11. The 12 is a 1 and a 2 side by side, and the 11 is two straight lines side by side.

  6. Step 6: Numbers on the right

Write the numbers 2, 3 and 4 down the right side of the clock, just inside the ring. Keep them about the same size.

  7. Step 7: Numbers at the bottom

Along the bottom, write 7, 6 and 5 from left to right. Give the 6 a curvy tail on top and a round belly, and the 7 a flat top with a slanted leg.

  8. Step 8: Numbers on the left

Write 10, 9 and 8 down the left side. Make the 10 from a straight line next to an oval, the 9 from a circle with a tail, and the 8 from two stacked circles.

  9. Step 9: The happy face

Under the center of the clock, draw two round dots for eyes. Between them and a little lower, draw a small curved smile like a bowl.

  10. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a wall clock

  • Draw the outer circle lightly first. If it comes out wobbly, trace over it again with a darker line.
  • Keep every number about the same size and the same distance from the inner ring so they look even.
  • Make the long hand clearly longer than the short hand, and start both from the small center circle.
