How to Draw a Tasmanian Devil (Easy Step by Step)
A Tasmanian devil is a great first animal to draw because it is built from big, friendly shapes. You start with an oval head, add round ears and a bean-shaped body, and finish with a curly tail, a toothy mouth and a V mark on the chest.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: The big head
Draw a wide, round oval for the head, a little wider than it is tall. Make it big, because this devil has a big face.
Step 3: The round ears
Add a half circle on each top corner of the head, like two little bumps. The ear lines start and end on the head.
Step 4: The body
Under the head, draw a tall, rounded shape like a bean or an egg. Start the lines at the bottom of the head and curve them down to a flat bottom.
Step 5: Tail, feet and toes
On the right, draw a small curly tail that loops out from the bottom of the body. On the left, add a curved foot that sweeps out from the side. Then add two short up-and-down lines at the bottom for toes.
Step 6: Eyes, nose and fangs
Draw two small round dots for eyes, one on each side of the face. Add a little rounded nose in the middle, then two short up-and-down lines below it near the bottom of the head.
Step 7: The toothy mouth
Under the nose, draw a wide mouth shaped like a flat bowl, with a pointed corner on each side. Fill the middle with a row of small teeth.
Step 8: The chest mark
On the belly, draw a big V shape, like a pointing arrow. Start at the upper left, come down to a point in the middle, and go up to the right.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a Tasmanian devil
- Draw the head oval large and wide first, so there is plenty of room for the face and the mouth.
- Keep both ears about the same size, and start and end each one on the head oval.
- The curly tail is the trickiest part. Draw it slowly in one loop, and do not worry if it is not perfect.
