Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Body and leg stripes
Draw a long, wide rounded rectangle, like a loaf of bread lying on its side, with a tiny bump on its left end. Then draw four pairs of short dashes in a row under the body, where the legs will go.
Step 3: The square head
Draw a rounded square above the right end of the body, touching it a little. Make it a bit smaller than the body is long.
Step 4: The snout
On the right side of the head, draw a small bumpy shape sticking out, like a little nose bump. Add a small round dot nose inside it.
Step 5: Camera eye
Inside the head, draw a smaller square with round corners. Then fill the middle with one big dot for the eye.
Step 6: Antenna
Draw a short slanted line going up from the top of the head. Finish it with a round ball on top.
Step 7: Four legs
Draw two straight lines down from each pair of dashes, so each leg is a tall thin strip crossing the dashes. Finish each leg with a small rounded foot, like a tiny bubble.
Step 8: Curly tail
At the left end of the body, draw a curly tail that bends in and out like a letter S standing up. Start it near the little bump and let it curl upward.
Step 9: Body panel and buttons
Draw a small rounded rectangle in the middle of the body for a control panel. To the right of it, add two round dots like buttons.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a robot dog
- Space the four legs in two pairs, with the dashes as your guide, so the dog looks steady on the ground.
- Make the tail with a loose, curly line that bends in and out. It does not have to be perfect.
- Draw the head smaller than the body, and sketch it lightly first so you can shift it if it looks too big.
