  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.

  2. Step 2: Basket and banana

Draw a wide bowl shape with a long curved top edge and a rounded bottom. Then add a tall, bendy banana that rises from the right end of the rim and curls over at the tip.

  3. Step 3: The apple

On the left, draw a round arc that starts at the top edge of the basket, curves up and over, and comes back down to the edge. The bottom of the circle stays hidden behind the rim.

  4. Step 4: Grapes and stems

In the middle, draw a bunch of small circles stacked in a triangle: one on top, two below it, then three along the bottom. Add a little curly stem above the grapes and a short curved stem on top of the apple.

  5. Step 5: Round fruit

On the right, next to the banana, draw another round fruit that tucks behind the basket rim. Add a tiny curved leaf mark at the top.

  6. Step 6: Left weaving and handle

On the left side of the basket, draw a few slanted lines that go down to the right and cross short lines going the other way. Add a small loop on the left edge for a handle.

  7. Step 7: Middle weaving

Keep going toward the middle with more slanted lines that cross each other and make diamond shapes. Try to keep the lines the same distance apart.

  8. Step 8: Right weaving and handle

Finish the diamond pattern on the right with slanted lines that cross each other. Add a small loop on the right edge for a handle and a tiny dot near the top right corner.

  9. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

  • For the grapes, start with the top circle and stack the rest underneath it, so they stay neat and even.
  • For the woven pattern, draw one slanted line at a time and then add the lines that cross it, keeping the gaps about the same size.
