Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The big round head
Draw a big wide oval for the head, a little flat on top like a rounded egg. Leave a small gap at the bottom where the neck will go.
Step 3: Bunny ears
Draw two tall skinny arches poking up above the head, one on the left and one on the right. Leave the bottoms open, so the ears look like they tuck in behind the head.
Step 4: The headband
Draw a curved band across the top of the head, like a low rainbow shape. Let its two ends reach out to the bottoms of the ears.
Step 5: Face and eggs
Add two round dots for eyes, halfway down the face and spaced apart, with a small smile curve below them. Under the chin, draw a cluster of small eggs with little slanted stripes and a few short lines beside them.
Step 6: Basket rim
Just under the chin, draw a short, wide band with rounded corners. This is the top rim of the basket, sitting right over the eggs.
Step 7: Arms and hands
From each side of the basket, draw a curved arm that bends down and out. Finish each arm with a small round hand, like a little loop.
Step 8: Basket stripes
Draw two straight lines across the lower part of the basket, one above the other. Connect their ends to the sides of the basket so it looks like a wide band.
Step 9: Feet
Draw two flat ovals at the bottom, side by side, just under the basket. They are the feet.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a kid with an Easter basket
- Draw the head oval nice and big, then add the ears above it with their bottoms open so they tuck in behind the head. Tall skinny arches look best.
- The eggs are the trickiest part because they sit partly behind the basket. Draw them first, then draw the basket rim right over their bottoms.
- Keep the two stripes on the basket straight and level. Those simple lines are what make it look like a real basket.

Kid with an Easter basket fun fact for kids
The Easter Bunny came to America with German settlers in the 1700s. Children made little nests for the bunny, and later those nests turned into the baskets we fill with eggs today.
Questions about drawing a kid with an Easter basket
What shapes do I need to draw a kid with an Easter basket?
You need a big oval for the head, two tall skinny arches for the ears, and a wide rim and two stripes for the basket. A few small egg shapes and two flat ovals for feet finish it.
How do I make the bunny ears look cuter?
Draw them tall with soft rounded tops, and keep them the same size on both sides. Tucking the bottoms in behind the headband makes them look like they really sit on the head.
How do I draw Easter eggs that look real?
Start with an egg shape that is a bit narrower at the top. Then add a short slanted stripe, zigzag, or row of dots to make each one special.
