How to Draw a Kid Painting an Easter Egg (Easy Step by Step)
This little painter is built from simple shapes: a big oval head, a box body with an apron, and two flat oval shoes. The egg is just a tall oval with a wavy line and a stripe, so it is a great way to practice patterns. Once you have the shapes down, you can decorate the egg any way you like.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Big round head
Draw a big oval for the head, a little wider than it is tall. Leave a small gap on the left side where the line stops.
Step 3: Face
Add two small dots for eyes in the middle of the face. Draw a little curved smile below them, like a bowl.
Step 4: Apron and egg
Under the head, draw a box that gets a bit wider at the bottom for the apron. On the right, draw a tall egg shape that is round at the top with a bumpy bottom.
Step 5: Shirt and fist
Draw a U shape around the apron for the shirt, starting at the left side and curving up on the right. On the left, add a small round circle for the fist, with a line joining it to the body.
Step 6: Flat shoes
At the bottom of the legs, draw two wide, flat ovals side by side for the shoes. Let them touch in the middle.
Step 7: Head edge
Add a few short little lines on the left side of the head, near the top, to finish the edge of the head.
Step 8: The paintbrush
Start at the fist and draw a long skinny stick that leans up along the left side of the head. At the top, draw a small rounded brush tip.
Step 9: Egg patterns
Draw a wavy line across the upper part of the egg. Then draw a curved stripe across the middle, from one edge of the egg to the other.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.
