Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: Top and right of head
Start at the left and draw a big curve up and over the top, then bend it down the right side like half of a round head. Stop near the bottom right, where the chin will be.
Step 3: Hood, dots and cheek
Draw a bigger curve outside the first one, over the top and down both sides, like a hood. Add two tiny dots near the top for the skull eyes. Then finish the head by drawing the left side of the face curving down to match the right.
Step 4: Happy face
Draw two round dots for eyes in the middle of the face. Add a little curved smile below them.
Step 5: The body
Under the head, draw a rounded box that is a little narrower than the head. Its top sits right under the chin and the bottom curves slightly.
Step 6: Arms and hand
On the left side of the body, draw a curved arm hanging down with a small circle at the end for a hand. On the right side, draw a short curved arm that stays close to the body.
Step 7: The magic wand
On the right side, draw a small circle for the hand next to the arm. Draw a long straight stick going up from it, and finish with a bigger circle on top of the stick.
Step 8: Spine and ribs
Draw a straight line down the middle of the body. Then add three curved ribs on each side, like little rainbows that start at the line.
Step 9: Little feet
Draw two short lines going down from the bottom of the body for legs. Add a flat oval at the bottom of each one for a foot, and let the two feet touch in the middle.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

- Draw the head curve lightly, then add the hood around it so the two curves sit nicely apart.

- Draw the wand stick in one smooth, straight stroke, then add the circle on top last so the shape stays round.

Your body has 206 bones when you are grown up, but babies are born with around 300 that slowly join together as they grow. Your ribs make a cage that protects your heart and lungs.
Questions about drawing a kid in a skeleton costume
What shapes do I need to draw a kid in a skeleton costume?
