Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: Round head
Draw a big circle that is a little wider than it is tall, but leave a gap at the top for the hat and a small gap at the bottom for the neck.
Step 3: Tall hat
Draw a tall box with a flat top that is a little wider than its bottom, sitting on top of the head. Then draw a wide, tilted oval brim across the bottom of the box.
Step 4: Hat band and buckle
Draw a thin band around the bottom of the tall box, just above the brim. Add a small square buckle in the middle of the band.
Step 5: Face and chin
Draw two small round dots for eyes in the middle of the face, and a happy curved smile below them. Then add a short curved line at each bottom corner of the head to finish the chin.
Step 6: Curly pigtails
Draw a big curve out from each side of the head and loop it into a little spiral curl at the bottom. Try to make both sides match.
Step 7: Neck
Draw a short, flat line across the gap under the head to make the neck.
Step 8: Dress, arms and clovers
Draw a small dress under the neck with a curved sleeve down each side. Add a little circle for a hand on the left, and a bunch of small circles for clovers on the right. Finish with a few short straight lines under the dress for legs.
Step 9: Belt and skirt stripe
Draw a wavy line across the middle of the dress for a belt, with a tiny buckle in the center. Then draw a second wavy line lower down for a stripe near the bottom of the skirt.
Step 10: Shoes
Draw a flat oval at the bottom of each leg for the shoes. Make them about the same size and let them sit side by side.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.
