How to Draw a Leprechaun Frog (Easy Step by Step)
This little frog wears a tall top hat and holds a lucky shamrock, which makes it a fun St. Patrick's Day drawing. It is built from simple shapes: a chubby pear-shaped body, a tall hat with a band and buckle, and three round puffs for the clover. The face is just two dots and a tiny smile, so it is easy to make it look cute.

Step 1: Body sides
Draw two wavy lines for the sides of a chubby, pear-shaped body, with space between them. Give the right side a little bump near the bottom for the arm, and leave the top open for now.
Step 2: The feet
At the bottom of each side, draw a wide, flat foot that looks like a little paddle. Join the feet with a gently wavy line along the bottom.
Step 3: Top of the hat
Near the top of the page, draw a curved line for the top of a tall hat. Add two short lines slanting down from its ends, a little wider apart at the top, and leave the bottom open.
Step 4: The hat brim
Draw a long, curved line across the bottom of the tall part, wide like a smile. Curl the right end up and around into a little loop.
Step 5: Hat band and buckle
Draw a thick band across the lower part of the tall hat, just above the brim. Add a rounded square buckle in the middle with a smaller square inside it.
Step 6: The waving arm
On the left side, draw a wavy line lifting up from the body toward the hat brim. Add a short curved line beside it to show the inside of the arm.
Step 7: The shamrock
Next to the hat, draw three round, puffy leaves that join in the middle, like a fluffy clover. Add a long, thin stem curving down to the frog's arm.
Step 8: Eyes and smile
Under the hat, draw two big filled-in dots for eyes, spaced far apart. Between them, add a tiny wavy smile.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a leprechaun frog
- Draw the body sides lightly and softly, then add the hat above them so the brim sits on top of the head.
- The shamrock is the trickiest part. Draw three round puffs around a center point, like a clover, before you add the thin stem.
- Leave a good gap between the two eyes and keep the smile small. That makes the frog look sweet.
