How to draw a leprechaun step by step

How to Draw a Leprechaun · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.

  2. Step 2: The tall hat

Draw a tall, rounded arch like an upside-down U for the top of the hat. Leave the bottom open for now.

  3. Step 3: Brim, buckle and face

Draw a wide, flat oval across the bottom of the hat for the brim, with a small square buckle on the front. Below the brim, add two small dots for eyes and a little smile, and a short curved line on the left for the side of the face.

  4. Step 4: The round face

Draw a round curve that starts at the right edge of the brim, swings down around the eyes and smile to make the chin, and comes back up on the left to meet the line from the last step.

  5. Step 5: Beard and curl

Draw a fluffy beard that wraps around the face from one side of the cheeks down to a wavy edge below the chin and back up the other side. On the right, add a small hook-shaped curl, which is the start of the hand.

  6. Step 6: The coat

Starting under the beard, draw two lines that curve outward and get wider as they go down. Join them at the bottom with a bumpy, wavy line to make a bell-shaped coat.

  7. Step 7: Arms

On the left, draw a long, skinny rounded rectangle for the arm hanging down. On the right, finish the waving hand by closing the curl into a small circle, then draw a short slanted line from the circle down to the beard for the arm.

  8. Step 8: Buttons and shoes

Draw two small dots down the middle of the coat for buttons. At the bottom, draw two pairs of small loops side by side for the shoes.

  9. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.
