Step 1: Top left leaf
Draw a heart tipped on its side, with two round bumps at the top and left and a point at the bottom right. Put it in the upper left part of your page.
Step 2: Top right leaf
Draw a second heart to the right of the first, with a small gap between them. Its point is at the bottom left, so the two hearts look like mirror images.
Step 3: Bottom left leaf
Under the first heart, draw a third heart turned upside down, with its point at the top right. Then draw one short slanted line inside the top right heart.
Step 4: Long stem
Start at the top right corner of the bottom left heart, near the middle of the clover. Draw a long, gently curving line straight down toward the bottom of the page.
Step 5: Last leaf and veins
Draw the fourth heart under the top right one, with its point toward the middle and the stem between the two bottom hearts. Then add a short slanted line inside each of the other hearts, plus one in this new heart.
Step 6: Little sparkles
Draw two small sparkles, one at the lower left of the stem and one at the right. Make each one a little diamond with curved sides, with the left one a bit bigger.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a four-leaf clover
- Draw the top left heart first, then copy its size for the other three. Check that all the points aim at the same center spot.
- Leave a small gap between the hearts instead of letting them touch. The gap keeps the clover looking clean and makes room for the stem down the middle.
- For the sparkles, draw a tiny plus sign very lightly first. Then connect the four tips with curved lines that dip inward.

How to color your four-leaf clover drawing
Use two or three shades of green so each leaf looks a little different, and a darker green for the stem. For a creative twist, color the sparkles gold or yellow.
Four-leaf clover fun fact for kids
The scientific name for the clover group is Trifolium, which comes from Latin words meaning "three leaves." Most clovers have three leaflets, so a four-leaf clover is a rare find.
