Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The big round head
Draw a big, wide oval for the bunny's head, a bit like an egg lying on its side. Add a tiny short line hanging down near the bottom right of the oval.
Step 3: Curved body line
Start at the bottom left of the head and draw a curved line that swings out to the left and then down. This is the left side of the bunny's round body.
Step 4: Two tall ears
Draw two tall, rounded ears standing up on top of the head, one on each side. Then draw a smaller curved line inside each ear to show the inner ear.
Step 5: Two little eyes
Draw two small round dots for eyes, one on each side in the middle of the face. Keep them far apart and at the same height.
Step 6: Nose and teeth
Between and a little below the eyes, draw a tiny oval nose. Under it, draw a short line down and a small box for the front teeth, with a little flick for the mouth. Then draw a small pointy shape by the right side of the body for the top of the carrot.
Step 7: The big carrot
Draw a long carrot shape across the tummy. Start at the top by the carrot tip, curve a line down and to the left to a point at the bottom left, then draw a second line down the right side to close the shape.
Step 8: Carrot leaves
At the top of the carrot, draw a few pointy leaves fanning out. Add one rounded leaf poking out to the right.
Step 9: Feet, tail and wavy line
At the bottom, draw two flat ovals for the feet and a round circle on the right for the fluffy tail. Then draw a wavy line across the bottom of the tummy, with a small circle on the carrot near the bottom left.
Step 10: Another carrot bump
Draw one more small circle on the carrot, a bit higher up, to make another bump. Keep it about the same size as the first one.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a bunny with a carrot
- Draw the head first and make it wide. The ears and body are placed around it, so a good head makes everything else easier.
- The carrot is the trickiest part. Start at the top with the line that slants down to the left, then add the second line down the right side so the carrot looks like a long, pointy shape.
- Draw the bumps on the carrot as small circles and keep them about the same size so the carrot looks bumpy and neat.

Bunny with a carrot fun fact for kids
A rabbit's front teeth never stop growing. Rabbits chew on hay and crunchy veggies all day, which wears their teeth down so they stay the right length.
Questions about drawing a bunny with a carrot
