How to draw a go-kart step by step

How to Draw a Go-Kart · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Guide shapes

Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.

  2. Step 2: The long body

Draw a long, flat rounded rectangle across the page, like a fat sausage lying on its side. Keep the corners soft and round.

  3. Step 3: The seat

On top of the body, a little left of the middle, draw a tall narrow shape with a rounded top for the seat back. From its bottom, draw a short line sticking out to the right for the seat cushion.

  4. Step 4: The wheels

Under the body, draw a big circle near the back and a slightly smaller circle near the front. Next to each circle, on its right side, draw a curved line like a second wheel peeking out, and add a couple of tiny lines where the wheels touch the body.

  5. Step 5: The wheel hubs

Draw a small circle in the middle of each big wheel to make the hub.

  6. Step 6: The steering wheel

Above the middle of the body, draw a tilted oval for the steering wheel. Draw a short slanted line from the bottom of the oval down to the body.

  7. Step 7: The headlight

Near the front end of the body, draw a small circle for the headlight.

  8. Step 8: The front bumper

At the very front, draw a curved shape like a sideways C that bulges out to the right from the body. It makes a little rounded bumper.

  9. All done!

Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a go-kart

  • Draw the long body first and leave plenty of room underneath. The wheels hang below it, so they need space.
  • Make the back wheel and the front wheel about the same size. Draw the first circle, then look at it while you draw the second.
  • For the steering wheel, start with a skinny tilted oval and then add the stick. Tilting it makes it look like it is leaning toward the driver.
