How to Draw a Cat and a Dog (Easy Step by Step)
A cat and a dog sitting side by side make a sweet, friendly picture. This drawing is built from simple shapes: pointy ears for the cat, a floppy round ear for the dog, bell-shaped bodies, and small curls for the tails. Nothing here needs to be perfect, because wobbly lines make the pets look even cuter.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: The cat's ears
Start at the left and draw the top of the cat's head: a wavy line that rises into a pointy ear, dips in the middle, and rises into a second pointy ear. Add two tiny curved marks on the left side for the cheek.
Step 3: The cat's body
Draw a long curved line down from the left cheek, bending out like a bell, and finish it with a rounded bottom. Add short lines at the bottom for the toes, and a short curved line on the right side to close the body.
Step 4: The cat's face
Draw two small round dots for the eyes in the middle of the face. Add a tiny nose between them with a little curved smile just below it.
Step 5: The dog's head
Next to the cat, draw a curved line across the top of the dog's head. At the right end, loop it down into a big round floppy ear, and draw a short line down the left side of the face.
Step 6: The dog's body
Under the dog's head, draw the right side of the body curving down from the ear. Then draw the left side beside the cat, and add a short curve at the bottom of each side, leaving a gap in the middle.
Step 7: The dog's paws
In the gap at the bottom, draw two short lines for the toes. Join them with a small curve underneath to close the bottom of the body.
Step 8: The dog's face
Draw two small round dots for the eyes, with a tiny nose and a little smiling mouth below them. Add a short curved line by the left side of the head to show the cheek.
Step 9: Both tails
Draw a small curled tail poking out at the cat's lower left, near the ground. Then draw a tiny curved tail on the dog's lower right, like a little loop.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

- Keep the eyes small and put the nose and smile close together right below them to make both faces look sweet.
