Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The round head
Draw a big circle for the head. Make the bottom a little flat, where the neck will be.
Step 3: The round ears
Draw a small circle on each top corner of the head, so each one overlaps the head a little like a button.
Step 4: Eyes, nose and belly
Add two small dots for the eyes and a little nose with a tiny smile in the lower middle of the face. Under the head, draw a curve on each side of the neck for the top of the belly, then add two short lines on each side below it and three tiny claw lines near the bottom.
Step 5: Face stripes
Draw two long, narrow stripes that start near the ears and curve down toward the nose, leaning in to make a V. Each stripe is a closed leaf shape with a line on both sides.
Step 6: The muzzle
Draw a small rounded U shape around the nose so it becomes a little oval muzzle where the two stripes meet.
Step 7: Arms and tail
Draw a tall oval on each side of the body for the arms, with a short line inside each one. Then add a curved tail on the right that loops out from beside the arm.
Step 8: Feet and belly
Draw a wide flat oval at the bottom of each side for the feet, around the claw lines. Join the two feet with a gentle curve along the bottom of the belly.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a badger
- Make the two face stripes match. Draw one side, then copy its curve on the other side so they form an even V.
- Draw the muzzle after the stripes so the stripes can end right at its edges.
- Draw the arm ovals lightly at first. They are easier to place when you can see where the belly curve ends.

Badger fun fact for kids
Badgers dig underground homes called setts. A sett can have many tunnels and rooms, and families of badgers sometimes use the same one for many years.
