How to Draw a Leprechaun Shoe (Easy Step by Step)
A leprechaun shoe is a silly, curly-toed boot with a square buckle, and a lucky shamrock floating nearby. It is built from simple shapes: a box for the cuff, curved lines, two squares and three little hearts. It is a great drawing for St. Patrick's Day.

Step 1: Cuff and front curve
Near the top left, draw a short, wide box with slightly curved top and bottom for the cuff. From its bottom right corner, draw a short curved line sloping down and to the right.
Step 2: Back and heel
From the left end of the cuff, draw a long line straight down for the back of the shoe. At the bottom, turn the line right and then up a little to make a small block for the heel.
Step 3: Curly toe top
Near the front curve, draw a short slanted line going down and to the left. Then draw a long scoop from that line sweeping to the right and curling up to a pointy tip.
Step 4: Toe tip and sole
Start at the pointy tip and curve a line down and back to the left for the front of the toe. Then draw a long, gently curved line from the toe back to the heel block to make the bottom of the shoe.
Step 5: The sole stripe
Draw a long, slightly curved line just above the bottom of the shoe. Start at the back of the shoe and end near the front of the toe.
Step 6: The buckle
On the middle of the shoe, draw a tilted square. Then draw a smaller tilted square inside it, like a picture frame.
Step 7: Shamrock leaves
Up in the top right, draw a heart shape pointing down for the top leaf. Then draw two more hearts on the left and right, tipped on their sides, so they meet in the middle.
Step 8: Center and stem
Where the three hearts meet, add a small scribbly spot for the center. Draw a short curved line down and to the left from it for the stem.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a leprechaun shoe
- Draw the curly toe in one smooth, slow stroke so the curve does not wobble. Start near the front of the ankle and finish at the pointy tip.
- For the buckle, draw the big tilted square first. Then draw the small square in the middle of it so it sits evenly.
- Make the three shamrock hearts about the same size. Sketch the top one first, then match the other two to it.
