How to Draw Grapes (Easy Step by Step)
A bunch of grapes is a great first drawing because it is made of round shapes that bump into each other. You start with the bumpy outline, split it into grapes, and add a stem, a leaf, and a curly vine. Two of the grapes get tiny smiling faces, which makes this one extra fun.

Step 1: Top bumpy row
Draw a wavy line of five round bumps side by side, like the tops of five grapes. Curl the first and last bumps down a little at both ends.
Step 2: Left and right sides
Start under the far left bump and draw a curved line that swings down and in. Do the same on the far right so the bunch starts to narrow.
Step 3: Bumpy bottom
Connect the two side lines with a bumpy line along the bottom. Make three round bumps, like the bottoms of three grapes.
Step 4: Lines between grapes
Draw short lines inside the bunch to split it into separate grapes, so each grape touches its neighbors. Then give two grapes a face with two dot eyes and a small smile.
Step 5: Stem and leaf
Start at the top of the middle grape and draw a short stem going straight up. At the top of the stem, draw a pointy oval leaf that leans to the right.
Step 6: Curly vine and leaf line
Near the top of the stem, draw a line that goes left and ends in a small spiral, like a curly ribbon. Then draw one slightly curved line inside the leaf.
All done!
Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing grapes
- Draw the top row of bumps first. The sides and bottom are easier to place when you can see how wide the bunch is.
- Bumps will not come out perfect, and that is fine. Grapes in real life are a little uneven too.
- Keep the faces small. Two dots and one small curve are all you need.

How to color your grapes drawing
Try purple, green, or red for the grapes, and green for the leaf, stem, and vine. For a twist, color every grape a different shade of purple, or make one rainbow bunch.
Grapes fun fact for kids
Grapevines hold on to fences and branches by wrapping their curly little tendrils around them, just like the spiral in this drawing.
