How to Draw a Baby Turkey (Easy Step by Step)
A baby turkey is a cheerful drawing made mostly of circles and rounded shapes. You will draw a round head with a little tuft, then add leaf-shaped feathers that fan out around it. The curly wattle under the beak is the part that makes it look like a turkey.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch this oval. It only shows where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase it at the end.
Step 2: The head
Draw a big circle near the top of your paper for the head. Leave a small gap at the lower left, where the neck will start.
Step 3: Neck and belly curve
Start at the gap in the head and draw a short wiggly line going down and to the left for the neck. Then draw a wide, curved smile shape far below the head for the bottom of the belly.
Step 4: The head tuft
On top of the head, draw a tall, rounded arch like a little hill. Start and end the line on the head circle.
Step 5: Tall tail feathers
Draw a long, leaf-shaped feather leaning out from each side of the head. Add one short straight line inside the left feather.
Step 6: Side tail feathers
Draw two wide, rounded feathers that stick out sideways below the head, one on each side. Start each one near the neck and curve it out and back.
Step 7: Wings and legs
Draw a curved teardrop wing on each side of the belly, and add a short straight line inside each side feather. Then draw two short legs below the belly, each with two little toes, and a tiny curl at the neck.
Step 8: Eyes and beak
Add two small dots for eyes, spaced apart on the head. Between and below them, draw a small triangle with a point facing down for the beak.
Step 9: Wattle and feather line
Draw a curly, hook-shaped line hanging down from the beak for the wattle. Then add one short straight line inside the right tall feather to match the left one.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a baby turkey
- Draw the head circle first and leave the small gap, so the neck line has a place to start.
- The tail feathers are the trickiest part. Try to make the two tall ones the same size and the two side ones the same size so the fan looks balanced.
- Draw the curly wattle last and keep it small, hanging from the beak. If it gets too big, it will cover the face.
