How to Draw a Pilgrim Girl (Easy Step by Step)
A pilgrim girl is a fun character to draw because she is built from simple shapes: a rounded head, an arch, a bean and a triangle. Her bonnet and puffy collar make her easy to spot, and her tiny smile gives her lots of personality. It is a great drawing to make for a Thanksgiving card or a classroom display.

Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: Head and bonnet outline
Draw one tall rounded shape for her head and bonnet, like an egg with a flat bottom. Leave a tiny dip in the middle of the bottom line.
Step 3: Bonnet band
Inside the top of the shape, draw a curved line like a rainbow. It starts at the left side and ends at the right side, a little below the top.
Step 4: Face and bonnet edges
Draw two round dots for eyes and a small curved smile below them. Add a short curved line on each cheek for the edge of the bonnet, and a tiny round knot at the dip on her chin.
Step 5: Bonnet ties
Draw a long curved line like a bowl under her smile. It starts at one cheek, dips down above the knot, and ends at the other cheek.
Step 6: The collar
Under her head, draw a puffy shape like a bean or a bone for her collar. Make it about as wide as her head, with soft round ends.
Step 7: Apron and straps
Below the collar, draw a small circle in the middle. Draw two short lines from the circle going up and out toward the collar for straps, then two long straight lines going down for the sides of her apron.
Step 8: The dress
Draw a long slanted line down from each end of the collar, spreading out wide like a triangle. Connect the bottoms with a straight line across to make her dress.
Step 9: Shoes
At the bottom, draw two little curved shoe shapes peeking out under the dress, one around each of the dots.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing a pilgrim girl
- Draw the head and bonnet as one tall rounded shape, then add the curved band inside the top so the bonnet looks like it wraps around her face.
- The collar is the trickiest part. Start with a sideways bean, then round the ends so it looks soft and puffy.
- Make the dress edges slant out evenly on both sides so the triangle looks balanced.
