How to draw Santa's workshop step by step

How to Draw Santa's Workshop · tinyhandscreate.com

  1. Step 1: Walls and floor

Draw a straight line going up on the left, a straight line going up on the right, and join them along the bottom with a flat line. It will look like the letter U with square corners, and the top stays open.

  2. Step 2: The pointy roof

Draw two slanted lines that meet in a point at the top, like an upside-down V. Let the ends sit on top of the walls and stick out a little past each side.

  3. Step 3: Snowy roof edge

Draw a wavy line of little bumps along the bottom of the roof, like icing or snow hanging down.

  4. Step 4: Chimney and smoke

Draw a small rectangle with no bottom line on the right side of the roof, so it sits on the slope. Then draw three small circles of different sizes floating up above it for puffs of smoke.

  5. Step 5: Door and wreath

Draw a tall door shaped like a tunnel, with a round top and straight sides that stand on the floor. Inside, draw a small circle for a wreath and add a ribbon with two little tails below it.

  6. Step 6: Two tall posts

Draw a tall, thin post with a rounded top on each side of the door, standing on the floor. Keep both posts the same height and width.

  7. Step 7: Window and first stripes

On the right wall, draw a circle with a plus sign inside to make a window with four panes. Then draw short slanted lines across the right post, spaced evenly from top to bottom.

  8. Step 8: Attic window

On the roof, draw a square with rounded corners. Put a small circle in the center, then a tiny circle inside that.

  9. Step 9: Finish the stripes

Draw short slanted lines across the left post, spaced evenly from top to bottom, so it matches the right post and looks like a candy cane.

  10. All done!

Go over your lines with a marker, then color it in.

Tips for drawing Santa's workshop

  • Draw the walls first and the roof second, so the roof's pointy tip lands in the middle above the walls.
  • The wavy snow edge is the trickiest part. Make each bump about the same size, like a row of little hills, and go slowly.
  • Make the two candy cane posts match by drawing one first, then copying its height and width on the other side of the door.
