Step 1: Guide shapes
Lightly sketch these 2 ovals. They only show where the big parts go, so press softly. You will erase them at the end.
Step 2: The big cake pop
Draw a big circle in the middle of the top part of the page. Leave room below it for the stick and the tray.
Step 3: Two side cake pops
Draw a smaller circle on the left and another on the right, a little lower than the big one. Make them match in size.
Step 4: Sticks and face
Draw a straight line down from the bottom of the big circle, and a shorter line down from each side circle, with a tiny curl at the bottom of each side stick. On the big pop, add two dot eyes, a small smile, a little curl on the left and two tiny dashes near the top.
Step 5: The tray
Near the bottom, draw a wide rectangle with rounded corners. Then draw a long, slightly curved line above it, with its ends curving down to the rectangle, for the back edge of the tray.
Step 6: The bow
Partway down the middle stick, draw two small loops side by side that meet at the stick, like a sideways number eight.
Step 7: Wavy icing lines
On each circle, draw a wavy line across the upper part with a couple of gentle bumps. This shows where the icing ends.
Step 8: Left pop sprinkles
On the left pop, add a small curl at the left end of the wavy line. Then add two short dashes above the line for sprinkles.
Step 9: Right pop sprinkles
On the right pop, add two short dashes above the wavy line for sprinkles.
All done!
Erase the guide shapes, go over your lines, then color it in.

Tips for drawing cake pops
- Draw the big middle circle first, then place the two side circles so they sit a bit lower. This keeps the pops from crowding each other.
- The bow is the trickiest part. Think of a sideways number eight, draw one loop, then the other, and let them meet at the stick.
- For the icing, draw the wavy line across the upper part of each circle. If the waves are a little bumpy, that just looks more like real icing.

How to color your cake pops drawing
Try pink, purple, and light blue icing on the tops and leave the lower part of each ball cake brown or cream. For a twist, give every pop a different sprinkle color and make the tray a bright party color.
Cake pops fun fact for kids
Cake pops are made by crumbling baked cake, mixing it with a bit of frosting, rolling it into balls, and dipping them in melted candy coating. They became popular in the United States in the late 2000s.
